# Riverbend Ivanhoe October Construction Update: Crane Down, Roofs On

October has been a busy month on site at Riverbend Ivanhoe, with the tower crane now dismantled and metal roofing in place across the building. Attention has moved to the finer detail, from the exterior finishes taking shape to ceilings, waterproofing and services progressing inside the apartments.
**Key milestones on the exterior**
The removal of the tower crane is the most visible change on site this month. It has been central to moving materials across the project since earlier in the year, so its dismantling marks a clear transition for Riverbend Ivanhoe. Alongside it, all metal roofs are now on, bringing the roofline into its final form and adding to the sense of a building that is fully taking shape.
Work on the external walls continues at pace. Hebel wall panels are now installed up to level 3, with the remainder expected to be finished by the end of the month. The render has also started on level 2, offering the first glimpse of the exterior finish coming to life.
**Inside the apartments**
While the exterior advances, the interior works are moving ahead on several levels at once. On the ground floor, apartment ceilings have received their final coat of paint and waterproofing has commenced in the bathrooms and ensuites. One level up, the plasterwork in the level 1 apartments has been smoothed and sanded, preparing the spaces for the next stage of finishing.
Progress continues across the upper levels as well. On level 2, the apartment walls have been sheeted, with ceilings to follow next week. Service rough-ins, which form the concealed plumbing and electrical groundwork behind the walls, are complete on level 3 and set to commence on level 4 next week.
**Looking ahead to joinery**
The next milestone is already within sight, with joinery scheduled to be installed on the ground floor and level 1 in early November.
