There's a real sense of momentum on site at Riverbend Ivanhoe this July, with the project moving through one of its busiest and most visible stages yet. After months of foundational work below ground, the development is now pushing upward.

Structure taking shape below and at ground level

The basement and ground floor are now fully stripped out and backpropped, a milestone that clears the way for the next wave of trades to move through the site. With this stage complete, services rough-ins have begun in the basement and are underway across parts of the ground floor, laying the groundwork for the plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems that will eventually service the building.

At the same time, blockwork has commenced at ground level, marking a shift from structural concrete works to the finer detail that starts to define the building's internal layout.

Looking ahead: level 2 pours and light gauge steel

The coming weeks bring some of the most significant milestones of the build so far. The first concrete pour for level 2 is scheduled for this Friday, with the second pour to follow on Monday.

Adding to the momentum, light gauge steel work is targeted to begin later this month. This next phase will introduce a new dimension to the build, supporting the framework for internal walls and finishes as the project continues its climb.
